Synopsis

Tomato Love is a story about a boy in search of his tomato. He bonds with a tomato in the beginning of the animation only to have it taken away from him by a cruel twist of fate. He then spends the rest of his time searching for his lost tomato in places like the supermarket or the forest. Tomato Love uses a variety of digital animation techniques composited using After Effects.

Biographies

Joey Kan received a BFA in Film / Animation / Video from the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence Rhode Island. Before RISD he was involved in several community art programs in Hong Kong which involved mainly mural painting and assistant art teaching. He likes to eat tomatoes at least twice a week.

Josh Chan finished the Bachelor of Computer Science at Monash University in Melbourne Australia in 2004, majoring in Multimedia and Desktop Publishing.From 2000 - 2002 Unique Web Design and Etranslate Pty Ltd have employed him casually. He has also assisted in 2 of Joey Kan's projects by creating music tracks.

Amabel fell in love with the arts and music ever since she was born. She started painting and drawing when she was two, and was deeply tempted by the sound of the piano. Amabel is now studying Fine Arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is also a jazz/blues singer, and had currently formed a duo band called "Subito", where they mostly play at the Fringe Club. She spends most of her time painting, drawing, composing music, playing the piano and singing. These are the things that she devotes all her passion for.
